We tried some Kobe/American Wagyu ground beef this week. I was looking forward to finding out what all the hype is about. I have to give it a big thumbs down! It was so fatty, I couldn’t even eat it. When I poured the grease out of the pan from a 1lb package, there was a full 8 oz. of fat. Not good eating if you ask me.

So, instead, I threw in some of our lean ground beef and topped it with Kenny’s Farmhouse Barren County bleu cheese. On a very thinly sliced bread, I have to say, there is nothing better. Big beefy flavor, juicy to no end and that wonderful pairing of pungent bleu cheese.
